If you’re not totally satisfied with your purchase from Tribe, you can return new and unopened products within 14 days together with your proof of purchase, for a full refund.

 What is Tribe's Return Policy?

All products you buy online or at our retail store at Tribe, with the exception of Gift Cards, are covered by our returns policy.

If the product you buy from Tribe is damaged, or if you are not satisfied with it, then we will offer to refund the purchase price, exchange or where possible we will repair the product. You may be required to return the items to us at your cost.

In addition to claims for faulty or defective products, at our sole discretion we may offer to refund the purchase price where you have simply changed your mind provided you return the product to us unopened, in its original packaging, with proof of purchase and the product is still in a sellable condition.

For certain items for hygiene reasons we are unable to accept these due to having changed your mind.

In providing refunds it will be our discretion to either refunding the purchase price in either the original payment method or store credit / voucher.

Can I exchange an item?

We will happily provide an exchange where you have changed your mind about a product purchased from Tribe provided that the product:

  • is returned to us with a receipt within 14 days of purchase;
  • is in its original condition, including with packaging; and
  • has not been used and, if a perishable product, is not expired or within 2 days of expiry.

How do I return a product I have purchased from Tribe?

Fill up the form with the details of the product you want to return and attach supporting images if applicable, especially if the product for return is damaged/defective. Our team will get back to you regarding the return 

Can the items be returned after the period mentioned in the policy?

Sorry, no items can be returned after the period mentioned in the policy

Can I return beauty products that have been opened?

Unfortunately due to hygienic purposes and safety protocols we do not accept returns of beauty products if they have been opened.

However any unopened beauty products may be returned if you are unhappy with the product

Are there any items not eligible for return?

Yes, given below is the list of products not eligible for return:

  • Lingerie and Nightwear
  • Swimwear
  • Shape-ware
  • Underwear
  • Socks

Can I return Tribe gift card?

Tribe eGift Cards cannot be returned or redeemed for cash or credit except where required by law.

How do I replace or exchange an item?

If any of your items have been approved for replacement or exchange, bring the item, receipt, and all original packaging to our Tribe HQ located at #25 R. A. De Mel Mawatha, Colombo 04.

Alternatively, you can also mail in the items to our address upon email confirmation of approval for replacement or exchange

How will I be refunded?

If you return an item within the allowable return period with a receipt, the refund will be applied to the original method of payment. If you made the purchase using:   

Cash or bank transfer: You’ll receive a bank transfer crediting the amount to the same bank account

Credit card: The refund will be issued to the same credit card you used to make the purchase.

When will my refund appear on my credit card?

  • Once the return has been processed, the refund will appear as a credit back on your debit card within five to seven (5—7) business days.

What do I do if my item is damaged or is the wrong item?

  • If the item was purchased in the store, please bring the item and receipt to the store for a return. A new item in the store can then be selected and exchanged for the original item. 
  • If the item was purchased online and is damaged or the wrong item, return the item by mail or drop it off at the Tribe HQ.

Are there any return exceptions? 

Tribe reserves the right to limit, or decline returns or exchanges regardless of whether the customer has a receipt.

All returns without a receipt are subject to a refund verification process. Refunds issued for lost items are subject to recharge if Tribe or the seller can verify delivery or frequent abuse. All decisions regarding returns are subject to applicable laws.

The Senior Management has the authority to make a final decision for all returns.
